Cookie Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026 · Previous versions

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the cookies PageCheck uses. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

1. Essential cookies

When you simply visit the site, PageCheck sets no essential cookies. The cookies below are set only when they are needed for something you do, and the service cannot work without them, so they do not require consent.

Cookie Purpose Set by Kept for
pc_consent Remembers your choice in the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. PageCheck 180 days
wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_…, wordpress_test_cookie Keep you signed in to your account. Set only when you sign in. PageCheck Session, or up to 14 days
pc_oauth Ties a sign-in with Google (or Microsoft, where offered) to the browser that started it, so that nobody else can complete it. Set only while you sign in, and removed when you return. PageCheck Up to 10 minutes
pc_login Ties a sign-in code sent by e-mail to the browser that asked for it, so the code works only there. Set only when you ask for a code. PageCheck Up to 1 hour
pc_intent Remembers the website you asked to check before signing in, so the check can start right after you sign in. Set only when you press Analyze without being signed in. PageCheck Up to 30 minutes
woocommerce_…, wp_woocommerce_session_… Keep the plan you are buying during checkout. Set only at checkout. PageCheck Session, up to 2 days
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid Payment fraud prevention. Set only on the billing pages where Stripe’s payment form is loaded: checkout, Plan & billing in your account (when you add or change a card) and the page for confirming a payment with your bank. Stripe Up to 1 year / 30 minutes
__cf_bm, cf_clearance, _cfuvid Security: telling people from automated programs and protecting the site from abuse. Set only when Cloudflare’s protection needs them. Cloudflare 30 minutes to 1 year

Asking for a sign-in code by e-mail, buying a plan at checkout and adding or changing a card in Plan & billing are also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which assesses your browser to tell people from automated programs (see section 2.2 of the Privacy Policy). It is not used anywhere else on the site.

2. Analytics cookies, only with your consent

If you choose “Accept all” or switch on Analytics in Cookie settings, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how PageCheck is used and to make it better (see section 2.9 of the Privacy Policy). Without your consent they are not loaded and set no cookies. We use no advertising cookies.

Cookie Purpose Set by Kept for
_ga, _ga_… Google Analytics: a random identifier that tells visits of the same browser apart, and the current visit. Google 2 years
_clck Microsoft Clarity: a random identifier that ties visits of the same browser together. Microsoft 1 year
_clsk Microsoft Clarity: joins the pages of one visit into one session replay. Microsoft 1 day

Clarity’s script is loaded from Microsoft’s own domain (clarity.ms), where Microsoft may set its own cookies (for example MUID, CLID) under its privacy statement. If a check is started while the statistics are still loading, the event is kept in your browser’s session storage until it has been sent, and it disappears when you close the tab.

3. Changing your choice

You can reopen the cookie notice at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page and switch Analytics on or off. When you switch it off, Google Analytics and Clarity stop at once and their cookies on pagecheck.dev are deleted. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings; if you block essential cookies, signing in and checkout will not work.
