How it works
Three steps. No install, no code snippet, no access to your server.
-
Paste a URL
Any public page — a homepage, a product page, a landing page. No install, no code snippet. Sign in for free with Google, Microsoft or your e-mail to run it.
-
We run 76 checks
We check the page and the whole website for speed, visibility in search, security, errors and e-mail delivery against 76 different criteria.
-
Fix what matters
You get a report of the issues found on your website (no passed checks), sorted by impact, each with an explanation clear enough for you and your developer.
What we check
11 areas, 76 individual checks. Each finding is ranked by impact, so you know what to fix first.
-
Performance
How quickly the page opens for real visitors and what slows it down, such as oversized images or a slow server. Slow pages lose visitors and rank lower in Google. -
Mobile
Whether the page is easy to read and use on a phone: text large enough, buttons easy to tap, nothing cut off. -
Search engine optimisation
Whether Google and other search engines can find and read the page, and how it looks when someone shares it on social media. -
Accessibility
Whether people with poor eyesight or other disabilities can read and use the page. -
Security
Whether the connection to your site is secure, the software behind it is up to date, and nothing that should stay private can be seen from outside. These are the weak spots attackers look for. -
Privacy and cookies
Whether the site tracks visitors or loads outside services before they agree to it, which the EU's privacy rules require. -
Broken links
Whether links, images and other parts of the page are broken or missing. -
Code quality
Whether the page is built without errors, so it shows and works correctly in every browser and nothing on it quietly fails. -
Content
Whether the page still shows template text, placeholders, out-of-date details or leftovers from AI tools that visitors notice, and whether it tells visitors who runs the business and how to reach it. -
E-mail delivery
Whether your e-mails reach the inbox instead of spam, and whether others can send e-mails pretending to be you. -
Signs of AI generation
Whether the site or its texts look made with AI tools, such as an AI website builder or text pasted from ChatGPT. Unchecked AI output often hides errors that nobody has looked at.
Questions
Answers to the questions about PageCheck we hear most often.
Yes. A free account gives you 3 checks a day, with the last 30 days of checks in your history — sign in with Google, Microsoft or a code sent to your e-mail, no password needed.
An account keeps the free checks for people rather than scripts, protects the websites being checked from automated overuse, and keeps your reports in one place. Signing in takes a few seconds and needs no password.
No. All checks are based on publicly available information — your website’s content and URLs, its DNS records and response headers.
Speed comes from Google's data on real visitors (where Google has enough of it) and from a lab measurement, and the server's response time is measured three times. Network, location and server load still vary, so expect a few points of difference between runs and between tools.
Yes — the checks are passive and read only public information. Please don’t use them to overload anyone’s server.
